Changes Come

Well, quite a lot has happened since I've been back. Most importantly, after two and a half years of being single I've started dating a wonderful girl! Totally unexpected, but these things have a tendency of working out that way. Why I'm sharing this in my journal I have no idea.

I'm also listening to some new music, recently acquired from Northern Records, the greatest label ever. If you like the california sound, you need to check out The Lassie Foundation, The Violet Burning, The Prayer Chain, and Cush; and if you just like good music, you need to hear Absinthe Blind, Monarch, Honey, They Sang as They Slew, and Cool Hand Luke. Your ears will thank you.

I wouldn't call yourself "just a simple photographer", though - you have some really great pieces there, at least as good as a lot of the shots that jump up into the daily favorites.

I heard about your gallery from a friend that said, "Man! You gotta check this out!" (Just so you know!)

I just got a roll developed and I'm not too happy with how any of the pictures turned out. But I might post something. I just ordered a couple of rolls of b&w, so I'll shoot that some time soon. I really like your b&w photos, very casual. You've inspired me, so SHUT UP!!!
